About Me
The following season will see the debut of multi-talented athlete David Bennett Galloway III in collegiate football. He was a standout on the football and track teams in high school. Galloway was honoured for both his on-field prowess and his academic accomplishments during his four years of secondary school. He plans to participate in college football soon.
career in college
Galloway will be coming back to play for the Warhawks in the fall of 2023 as a freshman beginning with the 2022–2022 academic year.
Bennett played in four games this season, which allowed him to count 2022 as a Redshirt year. In college football, a student can train and play with the team during a redshirt year without it counting as one of the four years they are allowed to compete. Therefore, Bennett will have the chance to play four seasons with the ULM football team when he enrols as a freshman in 2023.
After a much-needed month-long winter break and a trip with his family to Cabo San Lucas, Bennett returned to ULM on January 11 for his spring semester. Even though he enjoyed his vacation, he is already looking forward to the spring semester's academic difficulties and football training, including winter workouts like football-specific weightlifting and conditioning drills. The team's official spring football practice program will begin in March 2023 and last for roughly four weeks as a warm-up to more intensive preparation before the start of the fall semester.
Bennett doesn't feel a significant difference between life in South Carolina, being on the field, and training in northeast Louisiana. The areas celebrate southern culture and have many social and demographical connections. He has also adjusted to the humidity completely and is prepared to enjoy the heat of New Orleans.
When he's not playing football for ULM, he enjoys experiencing all that NELA has to offer, such as the local nature trails, boating activities, and the numerous types of regional food in Monroe and West Monroe. The airport in Monroe makes it simple to return to Chapin whenever it's time to see family.
Sports background
In his senior year of high school, David Bennett Galloway III participated in track and football at Chapin High School in Chapin, South Carolina. He played football from 2018 to 2021. The two seasons occur at different times, so participation in two sports involves a long-term commitment to physical health. He attributes his involvement in track to helping him become a faster running back, while football gave him more strength to overcome new obstacles at track meets.
Academic Background and Background Information
David Bennet Galloway III of Chapin was honoured as a WACH 57 scholar-athlete of the week for his accomplishments in both academics and sports. Excellent academic records, extracurricular successes, and athletic prowess were requirements for the award. In the spring of 2022, Galloway received his high school diploma from Chapin.
Professional Experience and Skills
Football player Galloway saw the value of tenacity at a young age and dedicated himself to moving through the rankings and playing collegiate football.
A demanding training schedule and building the stamina necessary to sustain lengthy football games require dedication. It takes dedication, and he embraces both the preparation and the competition, from adhering to a thorough strength training regimen to drilling for speed and monitoring his diet for the greatest performance possible. His role as a running back specifically calls for speed, agility, and balance. To reach the end zone, a running back must pivot, maintain focus, lunge, and push through.
Galloway's capacity to persevere in challenging situations and be true to himself while playing for a larger squad was also developed via sports. The power to make split-second judgments on the field remains with every player on every team, but playing in a team sport requires embracing the shared objective and accepting instruction without grumbling. He gained the ability to make sound decisions under duress by weighing the pros and cons of failing.
Early development of these skills facilitates advancement in collegiate and professional athletics as well as other career routes.
Participation in charity and philanthropy
David Bennett Galloway III is very active in his community. He has taken part in numerous service projects on his own, with his football team, and in groups with friends and family.
He performed some of his voluntary work at Generations of Chapin, an assisted living facility serving the senior population of Chapin. He participated in Christmas celebrations and carol singing in Ballentine at the Lowman Home during the winter. The Heritage at Lowman is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to encourage older persons to live independently and gain access to a caring community as they age. The Senior Citizens Global Eagle Evening in 2020–21 was a high point for Galloway.
He was also a very active Screaming Eagles Special Needs Athletics volunteer. A nonprofit organization called Screaming Eagles is devoted to assisting schools and colleges in embracing diversity by creating realistic sporting settings and programs that can be modified to accommodate any athlete with special needs. Volunteers and local sports teams interact with the athletes to create a genuine sense of community and understanding. For many Chapin athletes, such as David Bennet Galloway III, the activities are a chance for sharing that gives the volunteers a fresh viewpoint and new acquaintances.
